Your Church Needs You!

It's been a busy time over Christmas and the New Year for many people. We held two Church Services on Christmas Eve, one on Christmas Day and one on Boxing Day, Sunday 26th. We're blessed to have so many people willing to help at this time, whether it's running the services, providing the teas and coffees, manning the door, preparing the Orders of Service, clearing the snow, opening the church(es) and the many, many tasks which have to be done to keep the services going. There are many unsung heroes whose work is only noticed in the breach. Imagine if the Blackhalls didn't plough the road and the car park at Durris; or if Andy didn't clear the snow at Drumoak: with the winter we've had here, it wouldn't be easy to get to church.

We're going to be losing some of the people who've provided some of those services and we need volunteers. Perhaps you feel that you already do your bit, or that work and family mean that you've no spare time or perhaps you've other commitments. But we'd like you to stop and think and consider whether or not you can make just a little more time for a worthwhile cause. There's no point in us pretending that it's only an hour or two every month because it'll almost certainly be more than that. It truly is better to give than to receive, so if you can give more of your time please do so. Your Church Needs You!
