After nearly a year of searching, the Drumoak-Durris Nominating Committee nominated the Rev Dolly Purnell as sole nominee to take up the vacant charge at Drumoak-Durris Church. The edict to that effect was read to the congregation by the Session Clerk on Sunday 17th July and Sunday 24th July. We are very pleased indeed to have Rev Dolly Purnell first of all come forward and then to accept the nomination. Dolly will preach as sole nominee on the 28th August at Drumoak Church at 10am, after which the congregation will vote, as is the Church of Scotland way.
Dolly is a native of Aberdeenshire and has been minister at Fintray Kinellar and Keithhall and most recently at Kingswells. We are acutely aware that our gain is their loss.
