We've been very pleased indeed to see Rev Dolly Purnell at the last two services, as an attendee. Dolly will be inducted on Thursday 19th January at a Presbytery-led service in Drumoak Church, at 7pm. That will be followed by a social in Drumoak Church Hall, at about 8.30pm.
The Vacancy has meant a very busy 16 months for many people and we've been more than fortunate to have had such a wonderful group of ministers and readers to take services for us over that period. Rev Iain Brown, Rev Helen Hamilton, Rev Elspeth Harley, Rev Andrew Christie, Rev William Wallace, Rev Alison Hutchison, Rev Crawford Anderson, Mr John McLuckie, Mr John McCafferty and of course our Interim Moderator, Rev David Stewart. Without their help we'd never have managed to have a service every week as we did during that period. It's been interesting too to benefit from different styles of preaching and different insights into the Bible; fascinating, in fact.
So, a very sincere thanks to all of them and a very warm welcome to Rev Dolly Purnell.
