The Service of Induction of Rev Dolly Purnell was held at Drumoak Church on Thursday 19th January at 7pm. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and very moving service, with hymns which were sung with gusto, so much so that we nearly lifted the roof. (Not such a funny thing as Drumoak Church roof does indeed have problems at the moment.) All the several parts of the service from the prayers to the sermon, from the reading to the hymns and the promises made by the congregation and the minister went well and we all left fully charged and ready for our new chapter with Dolly at the head. A social was held in the Church Hall after the induction to welcome Dolly and to thank Rev David Stewart for all his hard work during the vacancy.
